Write & Shine runs a programme of workshops & online courses gathering people to write together in the morning light. They welcome busy Londoners seeking space for creativity in their lives. The sessions are open to everyone, whether you’re new to writing, have some experience or simply want to enjoy an energising & inspiring start to your day!
Here is a note from founder, Gemma Seltzer, on how we can all use our creativity to slow down the pace and reflect and explore the corners of our mind!
We have partnered with Mind, the mental health charity, to encourage you to ‘Write it Down’ for better mental health. Author of ‘A Million Lovely Letters’ and ‘Write a Letter’ Jodi Bickley’s inspiring story is a true testament of how important it is to take some time out from your mind and write it down. Read Jodi’s inspiring open letter below.
We are encouraging you all to take a break from tech this month and swap your daily scroll for the more classic paper scroll. We all know that too many digital influences in your life can increase anxiety, affect your self esteem and reduce productivity. We have teamed up Jodi Bickley, the author of one million lovely letters, to remind you all how good it feels to be someones (or your own) pen pal.
We are working with mental health charity Mind to encourage everyone to focus on getting creative, writing things down, taking a break and sharing your feelings. There are many proven mind and soul benefits of journaling such as reducing anxiety, helping you focus on your thoughts and feelings, improving mental clarity and organising your thoughts.
We’ve created some creative journaling spreads to help and encourage you to get organised to be kind to your mind.
