Join the Paperchase & London Evening Standard campaign to clean up the commute!

We’ve teamed up with the London Evening Standard to turn old newspapers into something beautiful… a brand new range of stationery to further help promote the recycling of newspapers in and around the capital. How cool is that?

The new range has been created using London Evening Standard newspapers and turning them into a special edition, recycled stationery range to be sold in our flagship store on Tottenham Court Road, along with the majority of our London stores.

Richard Mead, Executive Director from the London Evening Standard says “The Evening Standard is committed to helping recycling efforts. Over 75% of the newsprint that is used to create newspapers in the UK is from recycled fibre, and any copies that are returned to us each night are recycled. We are excited to be promoting these messages through the creation of this fantastic range of products with Paperchase.”

The range showcases an innovative and strong pattern design, developed by the in-house team at Paperchase and are on sale now, exclusively in London stores and online.

To celebrate the launch we held a press and blogger event in our flagship store on Tottenham Court Road, so we thought we’d share the photos with you…

Would you actually believe that is a cake in the top left photo and not a pile of newspapers? Our stationery buyer Jo is very proud and she should be as she worked round the clock to bring this range to stores. One of our Project Crafter’s Sarah created the cake for us for the launch event and we can’t actually bear to cut it, in fact… we still haven’t!

We had speeches from Jo and the Evening Standard, followed by a lil’ crafting session with press and bloggers creating gift bags from… you guessed it! Old Evening Standard newspapers. We’ll be sharing the makes on our social feeds, so have a looksie on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.

Now we’ve whet your whistle, check out the full range online or if you’re in London, visit one of our stores to see the range in all its glory.
